River Colne
River levels have risen rapidly as a result of persistent heavy rainfall from yesterday evening Tuesday 31 December 2024 and throughout the early morning on Wednesday 1 January 2025. River levels have peaked and are now falling, however levels remain high and consequently, flooding of property remains possible until 14:00 today. Areas most at risk include properties situated off the A62 and along Springbank Road, Queens Square and Woodland Road. River levels are expected to fall throughout this afternoon and into this evening. Rainfall is expected to clear late morning and no further significant rainfall is forecast for the next couple of days. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 20:30 on Wednesday 1st January 2025, or as the situation changes.
River Colne
River levels have risen rapidly as a result of persistent heavy rainfall from yesterday evening Tuesday 31 December 2024 and throughout the early morning on Wednesday 1 January 2025. Consequently, flooding of property is likely. We expect river levels to peak at around 8:30am today, Wednesday 01 January 2025. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. River Colne
River levels have risen rapidly as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible, from 18:00 Sunday 20/02/2022. Areas most at risk are properties between Chapel Hill Road Bridge and the footbridge to the technical college as well as around the stadium. River levels are expected to peak later this evening. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours and we expect river levels to remain high overnight and into tomorrow. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded, and put your flood plan into action.
